An alumnus of the Rutgers Baseball program and former Rutgers Head Coach, Joe Litterio guided Rutgers baseball into the Big Ten Conference. He has over 25 years of coaching experience in Division 1 college baseball spending 18 years as a head coach. Litterio ranks third in program history in wins at Rutgers University and first in program history at Wagner College.

He has guided over 42 players to professional contracts, including 2009 AL Rookie of the Year, MLB All-Star, and current pitching coach of the Boston Red Sox Andrew Bailey. 

Litterio played for the Scarlet Knights as an infielder from 1990 to 1993. His teams won the Atlantic 10 regular season title all four years and earned bids to the NCAA Regional in 1990, 1991 and 1993. The 1990 Rutgers team came within one win of advancing to the College World Series.

Kyle, was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2007. He spent three years in the minor league system, winning a Gulf Coast League Championship in 2009. Kyle attended Christian Brothers Academy, one of the premiere high school school programs on the Jersey Shore. There he broke school records in ERA and Strikeouts leading CBA to record-setting seasons. In 2007, he was named 1st Team All-State, All-Shore, a Shore Conference Pitcher of the Year. Kyle has spent the last 9 years, training and developing middle school and high school level ballplayers across the state of NJ taking players to the next level. He currently has coached over 50 D1, D2, D3 college athletes and 6 current/former professional players.

Matt Cilento

Graduate of Barry University in Miami Florida, Matt was a key part of the success of the program. Matt played all infield positions throughout his career spending most of the time as a shortstop.  He was a four-year standout and captain at Barry where in 1998 he helped lead the Bucs to their first ever trip to the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament.

He was awarded the 2001 Earl Oster Leadership Award, bestowed upon a Barry senior that excelled as a leader on and off the field. More than 15 years after graduating, Matt still ranks tied for third in school history in career triples (7), sixth in career assists (338), and 10th in double plays turned (48). He graduated in May 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing

Matt played in 153 games, making 120 starts, while posting a career .279 average with 107 hits in 390 at bats. He scored 81 runs and drove in 67 RBIs while producing 31 extra-base hits—16 doubles, seven triples and eight homeruns—for 161 total bases and a .374 slugging percentage. He added 47 walks and 14 sacrifices while tallying a .330 on-base percentage. Defensively, he owned a .933 fielding percentage in 597 chances. As a senior in 2001, he committed only four errors in 194 chances for a .979 fielding rate.

Offensively, his most productive season was in 1998 when he batted .320 (32-100) with 25 RBIs, 23 runs, six doubles, two triples and three homeruns in 36 games (27 starts). 

A 1997 graduate of Colonia High School, Matt was a three-sport star and an all-county football and baseball player.

 In 1997 he was honored by the Home News Tribune with its Gene Haley Athlete of the Year award, presented annually to the best male athlete in its coverage area.

Matt is currently a special education teacher at Point Pleasant Boro High School an assistant for the baseball team. He was previously an assistant and then head coach at Colonia High School, and the head coach at A.L. Johnson High School. 

Matt also coached at the collegiate level as the infield/hitting coach for New Jersey City University. 

Matt currently resides in Point Pleasant, NJ with his wife Kelly and their four kids, Connor, Kyleigh, Kayden, and Khloey.


Ryan Slate

In his 3 years on the mound he accumulated 20 wins, which helped the Casey's become Shore Conference Champions. 

During his time at RBC, they dominated the Shore Conference rankings making the Shore Conference final 3 times. The team was ranked #3 in the All Decade Rankings from 2010-2020. 

Started his college baseball career at Brookdale Community College where he was a tabbed as a starting pitcher.  Ryan went on to have a solid career at Brookdale graduating with a degree in Business.

After graduating Ryan's love for game took him into coaching where he was an assistant coach at the high school level for several years. He continues to guide numerous young athletes as a travel ball coach and has over 8 years of experience coaching throughout the travel ball scene.

Tommy Antuofermo

Thomas Antuofermo attended St. Josephs High School in Metuchen, New Jersey, where he was a 3-year varsity starter. Thomas was awarded team captain his junior and senior year. During his Junior year, he helped lead his team to a State Sectional Championship batting a .667 average and added a go ahead solo homerun against Bishop Eustace putting his team into the State Finals against Immaculata. During his senior year he lead his team and the Greater Middlesex County Red Division in doubles and outfield assists. 

Many college teams such as Temple, St. Josephs, Ramapo, and Monmouth scouted Thomas. He ended up choosing Ramapo College of New Jersey as the next journey in his academic and baseball career. During his freshman year, Thomas was regularly substituted in as a late inning defensive replacement and was used on numerous occasions as a pinch runner in key situations. Unfortunately, Thomas had to end his baseball career with a torn right rotator cuff injury. 

Thomas has been coaching baseball for the last year 8 years. He has been with the Intensity Baseball Program since 2022.

Dan Glatz

Dan Glatz

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Dan graduated high school from Malvern Prep in 2008, where he played two years of varsity baseball, his senior year being a nationally ranked team. 

 Following high school, Dan went on to pitch at McDaniel College, a small D3 school in Westminster, Maryland.

 Upon finishing his baseball career, Dan devoted himself to fitness and strength training, and has since competed in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and strongman competitions. His passion for fitness eventually led him to quit his full-time job as an attorney to pursue a career in personal training. 

 He soon realized his real passion was training young athletes to become stronger, faster, and more athletic for their next level of competition, acting as a sports performance and strength coach. During his time as a strength coach, Dan has trained hundreds of baseball players. He currently trains athletes out of the Ballpark in Farmingdale, NJ. 

 Dan also has experience coaching baseball from ages 10u to 15u, and started coaching with Intensity in January 2023. 

 Dan currently resides in Bradley Beach, NJ. 

 

Johnny Grasso

Johnny Grasso is in his 3rd season as a head coach here at Intensity. Coach Grasso comes to Intensity Baseball after an almost two decade career as a high school head varsity baseball coach, and a member of the ‘SBCA’, The Shore Baseball Coaches Association.   He has sent several players to college, as well as the Monmouth/Ocean County all-star game where he once coached the Monmouth all-stars to victory. 

Coach Grasso has since retired from coaching high school baseball to be with his son, also in the program, and the rest of his Intensity family now full time. 

Johnny believes baseball teaches our children teamwork, critical thinking skills, and most importantly how to deal with, and bounce back from failure.

Hunter Reeves

Hunter Reeves, a standout athlete, graduated from Reidland High School in Paducah, KY, where his dedication to baseball flourished. As a 5-year Varsity starter and team captain for 4 years, he played a pivotal role in securing the All A regional championship and achieving a remarkable 3rd place in the Kentucky State Championships.

 Transitioning from a skilled third baseman to a versatile outfielder in his Junior and Senior years showcased Hunter’s adaptability and commitment to excellence. His athletic prowess earned him a full ride scholarship to Lancaster Bible College, where he played for 2 years before concluding his collegiate career at the prestigious Mid Continent University.

 Post-college, Hunter’s passion for baseball extended into coaching, notably guiding American Legion Post 31 in Kentucky. In an impressive feat, he led the team to a state championship and secured a runner-up position in his first two years at the helm. Additionally, his involvement with Baseball Factory showcases exemplified his commitment to providing aspiring athletes exposure to collegiate coaches.

 Armed with a degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology, coupled with certifications as a NASM certified personal trainer and a Stratford Career Institute certified nutritionist, Hunter brings a holistic approach to coaching.  He continues to inspire and guide young baseball players, focusing on maximizing their potential both on and off the field through tailored hitting, fielding, and weight training sessions.
